LESSONS FROM OSUN GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION
The governorship election in Osun State was conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on the 16th July, 2022. The incumbent Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola lost to the dancing senator, Ademola Adeleke by about 28,000 votes. The conduct of of the election by INEC was adjudged by observers as a marked improvement over previous exercises conducted by them. There are some lessons that we can learn from the exercise.
